They use North American Sitka Spruce for the tops, a hardy, super strong, renewably sourced timber that is perfect for taking the pressure and strain that a 12 string guitar generates on the top.
Tanglewood create each Sitka top from laminated spruce on this model to further strengthen the soundboard and the results, both in its constructional efficiency and tonal supremacy are class leading.
Winterleaf models feature Grover machines for precise tuning, (a very important feature on a 12 string!) and Tanglewood make the model look contemporary through their classic Super Folk styling.
