Guitars come in three types - classical guitars are nylon strung, and give a soft tone. Often a great choice for beginners as the strings are easier to press, and the fretboard is slightly wider. Acoustic guitars are metal string, and more associated with that singer-songwriter vibe. Finally you have electric guitars which need an amplifier. Some of our acoustic guitars also can be connected to an amplifier, and they are called electroacoustic.
