Background

A Major Music have been providing support for musicians and schools in the county for almost 30 years, providing a wide range of music and instruments. Education and the learning of music is hugely important, and as musicians ourselves we feel passionate about supporting learning music and musical development in all its forms.

Learning to play a musical instrument has been shown in recent studies to aid all round brain development more than any other activity, including sports, or even just listening to music.  However, it can be an expensive hobby to start when unsure if a child will persist past the first term of lessons!

A Major is now offering Instrument Rental to help with this.

How It Works

The initial rental period is 3 months paid in a lump sum when signing the contract.  At the end of the 3-month period the instrument may be returned with nothing further to pay.

At the time of renting the instrument we will take bank details and set up a Direct Debit to start after the initial 3-month period. If the instrument is returned before this payment goes out the mandate is cancelled, and there is nothing more to pay. The monthly amount will be on your initial paperwork, and will only run until the instrument is paid for. Essentially this is a hire-to-buy scheme rather than a pure rental. In other words - when you've paid the full cost of the instrument it's yours to keep.

If you do not wish to continue with the rental you must return the instrument to the shop, which you can do at any time until the instrument is fully paid for.

Please bring proof of identity and address when collecting instrument from the shop.
