Otakar Sevcik (1852-1934) was a Czech violinist and pedagogue, who taught Violin at the Vienna Music Academy and the Prague Conservatory. Published in 4 books, his School Of Violin Technics (Op. 1) is considered to be one of the best collections of technical Violin development exercises ever written. Intended for relatively advanced students, the series addresses all aspects of Violin technique, for both right and left hands.
