In the "Allegro barbaro", which was composed in 1911, BartÌ_k combines modern harmonics with Hungarian folk melodies.
This revised edition was prepared by comparing the last printed edition with the available manuscript sources and, in the event of discrepancies, determining through analysis what the composer's intention most probably may have been.
