Tanglewood choose North American Sitka Spruce for the tops, a hardy, super strong, renewably sourced timber that is perfect for taking the pressure and strain that a 12 string guitar generates on the top.
Each Sitka top is created from laminated spruce to further strengthen the soundboard and the results, both in its constructional efficiency and tonal supremacy are class leading we believe.
Because it’s a Winterleaf model, it features Grover machines for precise tuning, (a very important feature on a 12 string!) and looks contemporary with classic Tanglewood Super Folk styling.
